CIVIL/LAND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – EI OR PE – IMMEDIATE OPENING

Join an experienced team with extensive design/construction background. Develop the job knowledge and site design skills that college and your previous engagements could not provide. Immediate Opening Available for the right candidate possessing a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Engineers License or EI and 3+ years’ experience in site civil design. The successful candidate will have experience in site civil design including but not limited to zoning issues, grading and balancing earthwork, erosion control, storm drainage, detention and urban storm water management, potable water supply systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and basic street design. Basic computer skills as well as specialized knowledge and ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013-2015 are required. Successful candidates will be able to use Civil 3D to create grading plans, balance earthwork, create street profiles and cross-sections, and use other AutoCAD commands for modification and manipulation of drawings.

Entry Level Surveying Staff

Immediate Openings For Qualified Applicants. No previous surveying experience required. This position involves vigorous physical outdoor activity in all weather extremes. Successful applicants will be able to satisfactorily demonstrate previous outdoor work experience, strong work ethic, and the ability to quickly learn the operation of technical equipment, among other requirements. A valid North Carolina driver’s license and a negative pre-employment drug screen are required.

Geotechnical Engineer

4 to 10 years experience. North Carolina PE or ability to acquire within 1 year. Masters preferred. Knowledgeable in deep and shallow foundations, slope stability, dams, soil stabilization, geosynthetics, retaining walls, groundwater hydrology, soil and rock laboratory procedures, etc. Must be willing to train for and assume an administrative position within 4 years. Good verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. Marketing skills a plus.

Professional Land Surveyor

7 years experience. North Carolina PLS or ability to acquire within 1 year. Must have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and TDS data collection, Construction, GPS, Topographic, Design and Subdivision Surveys. The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate with clients and manage survey crews and technicians. The candidate should be oriented toward personal growth as well as company growth. Must have a valid North Carolina drivers license.

Survey Crew Chief

Supervise and direct the field crew in the completion of field operations including Boundary, Location, Topographic, GPS, Route Location and Construction Surveys. Responsibilities and Duties include: Assist the survey project manager in planning, coordinating and controlling field operations and coordinate with CADD operators in completing office computations and mapping. Provide leadership for the field crew in performing the survey in an efficient and cost effective manner. Communicate with onsite client supervisors, property owners and the general public as needed. Neatly prepare thorough and accurate field notes and sketches for all assigned projects and complete administrative tasks for time keeping and project billing. Develop and maintain proficiency in surveying methods and technologies through continuing education and training. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew. Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment by ensuring cleanliness and by promptly reporting problems. Read and interpret maps, deeds, and construction documents. Performs activities of workers supervised.

Survey Technician

Immediate Opening Available Must have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. The successful candidate will at a minimum have experience in computation and map preparation for Boundary, Topographic, GPS, Subdivision, and Construction surveys. Knowledge of TERRAMODEL a plus. Must have a valid North Carolina drivers license.

Civil/Land Development Engineer

Candidates with Bachelors Degree and 0-3 years experience. Candidates must be willing to work on multidiscipline projects ranging from preliminary land development work through full permitting for all aspects of civil design including but not limited to zoning issues, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, detention and urban storm water management, water, sanitary sewer and street design. Basic computer skills as well as specialized knowledge and ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013-2014; specifically, candidate must be able to use Civil 3D to create grading plans, roads, cross sections, profiles as well as using basic AutoCAD commands for drawing, modification and manipulation of drawings.

Civil/Land Development Professional Engineer
