Charlotte Motor Speedway, formerly known as Lowe’s Motor Speedway, is a motorsports complex located in Concord, North Carolina just 13 miles from Charlotte. CESI has provided civil design, geotechnical engineering, and professional surveying services to CMS for more than 30 years.

In one of our recent projects with CMS, we were contracted to assist with replacing approximately 750 linear feet of 30 inch diameter corrugated metal storm drain pipes. This project involved analyzing the speedway infield’s existing drainage basins and hydrology to make recommendations on pipe sizes and routings. CESI worked closely with CMS staff to review alternative routings based on existing site constraints.
