NC Emergency Training Center
CESI is excited to be a part of the construction of the new NC Emergency Training Center at the Stanly County Airport. Construction of the NC ETC is slated for completion in 2025, and this facility will enhance capabilities to offer training in critical areas such as swift water rescue, aircraft firefighting, urban search & rescue, hazmat, and fire investigation technician courses.
The facility will include a state-of-the-art Aircraft Fire Fighting (ARFF) flight-crash simulator. This center is positioned to become the most advanced specialized emergency training facility in the country.
CESI provided preliminary geotechnical engineering evaluation services to facilitate site design, which morphed into providing testing and oversight during the construction phase. CESI engineering technician, Dylan Williams, is on site daily. The pieces of the project are quite impressive. On behalf of Stanly County, Mr. Williams is on call to perform the inspections and testing required for multiple contractors on the complex project.
